Improving Mental and Physical Ability Through Aggressiveness Exercises

Aggressiveness exercises are a great way to improve our mental and physical abilities. In our next issues we will cover a few of them.

Drill:

This drill is done in three's: everyone Vs everyone, in a crawling position and touching each other; each person has their imaginary line behind them, which serves as the goal for taking them over it. This is achieved through grabbing and pulling or pushing (whether it be with the head, shoulders, legs or hands).

Remember, the point is to remain in the crawling position (our stomachs close to the ground as possible) in order to strengthen very important core muscles, and in general utilize and train muscles we seldom do.

Tips:

1. It is very important we maintain a play mentality.

2. We can decide to work in time sets, meaning for example, that for 3 minutes, we continue the drill no matter how many times we manage to push one another to one side of the space. In general, the amount of sets, their duration and the length of time of each set, should be decided upon according to our abilities and endurance level both mentally and physically. Furthermore, we must make sure we keep changing shoulders in order to avoid working unequally on either side.

3. It is important that we look for the aggressiveness inside the exercise rather than the techniques which can be applied. We shouldn't look to achieve our goal through joint-locks.

4. When we finish the exercise it is very important to stretch our whole body.
